We can offer various tennis court lighting schemes to suit your budget and planning restrictions. Tennis courts should conform to the minimum LTA standards of 400lux with 0.7 uniformity of light in the principal playing area ( PPA ), and 300lux with a 0.6 uniformity of light over the total playing area. ( TPA ) or Recommended LTA standards of 500lux with a 0.7 uniformity in the principal playing area and 400lux with 0.6 uniformity in the Total playing area. These lighting levels can be achieved by using either fixed lighting columns, hinged lighting columns or retractable floodlighting masts. The most common tennis court floodlighting schemes use the following layouts :- Scheme One Four 8m corner mounted columns complete with three 300w LED SportPro floodlights. This scheme uses a single phase electricity supply and will also achieve the minimum required LTA tennis court lighting level of over 400lux with 0.7 uniformity. ( total power consumption per hour 3.6kw ) Scheme Two Six 6.7m side mounted columns complete with twin 300w LED SportPro Flood lights mounted on each column. This scheme uses a single phase electricity supply and will  achieve the recommended required LTA tennis court lighting level of 500lux with 0.7 uniformity. ( total power consumption per hour 3.6kw ) We can install the higher powered SportPro LED 600w / 800w or the 1000w floodlights but these must be installed on columns of 10m  or higher due to the increase of intensity of the led light source. If mounted lower they many cause unwanted glare. We are being asked to upgrade tennis court flood lights to LED for many of the old lighting schemes. This can be achieved with good results by using multiple SportPro LED 300w floodlights. We use more, less intense floodlights so we can achieve less glare than the traditional metal halide shoe box style floodlights. This also increases the uniformity of light. The SportPro LED floodlights are unlike many other LED floodlights on the market. They project the light forward and down in a controlled manor. The floodlights use a high quality mirror optic and spillage guard to critically control the light reducing unwanted light spillage helping to gain planning permission is difficult planning situations. The light source is only visible from a certain angles helping to reduce glare, lesser quality LED floodlights shine the light in all directions causing excessive glare and light spillage and should not be used. Tennis courts should conform to the minimum LTA standards of 400lux with 0.7 uniformity of light in the principal playing area, and 300lux with a 0.6 uniformity of light over the total playing area. As a rule you will require the following per tennis court :- Scheme One Four 10m corner mounted columns complete with four 2000w HID floodlights. This scheme requires a three phase electricity supply and will achieve the recommended LTA tennis court lighting level of 500lux with 0.7 uniformity. ( total power consumption per hour 8.8kw ) Scheme Two Four 8m corner mounted columns with twin 1000w HID floodlights. This scheme uses a single phase electricity supply and will also achieve the recommended LTA tennis court lighting level of 500lux with 0.7 uniformity. ( total power consumption per hour 8.8kw ) Scheme Three Four 8m corner mounted columns complete with three 300w LED SportPro floodlights. This scheme uses a single phase electricity supply and will also achieve the recommended LTA tennis court lighting level of 400lux with 0.7 uniformity. (total power consumption per hour 3.6kw ) Scheme Four Six 6.7m side mounted columns complete with six 1000w HID box style floodlights. This scheme uses a single phase electricity supply and will  achieve the minimum LTA tennis court lighting level of 400lux with 0.7 uniformity.
